I am aiming to create high-quality watch faces, which is fun, but takes a lot of time – and it is a great motivation for me to invest further time if I see people’s appreciation, which can be feedback by email or some other little “investments” like these:

The original watch design by hop-picker — on your Pebble!

Magnified watch design by hop-picker
Watch design by hop-picker

I am proud to publish my Pebble version of this amazing watch design, which is just beautiful due to its simplicity, and already go a lot of attention, f.i. on reddit.

I fine-tuned it in cooperation with the original author, Konstantin Pulyarkin alias hop-picker, and I believe the result is really amazing and elegant.

Now also for WearOS & Tizen

Thanks to camembert, this beautiful watchface is now also available at Facer for WearOS and Tizen .

A rounded-squareish member of the Zoom family

This design shows a soft transition from the circle defined by the hands to the rectangular shape of the screen.
A somehow classic and very calm look, I believe.
Or, if you like, an allusion to the soft border of the good old crt tube 😉

Another member of the Zoom family

This design has no outer border, instead it seems to extend to infinity, touching the edge of your Pebble’s screeen. Again, I made a black and a white version, use them as you prefer depending on the color of your Pebble!

Less is more

The zooming watchface in a reduced design.

I believe it looks quite elegant, the black version on a black Pebble or Pebble Steel, and the white version if you are wearing a white Pebble.

Same benefits (more watch per screen size, better reading, new look) as the original design.

The Zooming Watch Face No.1

A watch face for your Pebble

A dynamically zooming (panning) watch face

This is my first watch face for the Pebble smart watch, and I called it Zoom1.

What I had in mind, and why the dial is not centered:

  • Analog watches are nice
  • Make it big – looks better, and ease (or: increase accuracy) reading the minutes
  • Think out of the box / create an unusual look

What it does:

  • Looks nice (I believe) 😉
  • Depending on current time, zooms in on an the minutes hand (well, to be precise, it’s actually panning).
  • Shows time, day of week and date (that’s a great feature, isn’t it?)

Where to get:

On your mobile phone (iPhone or Android phone), tap one of the below banners to launch the Pebble app and install the watchface:

I am delighted that Zoom1 is now featured on PebbleReviews by Mark Reed,
and is among the first 10 in Best of Pebble October 2013 (and the best-placed pure-watchface app)!

Big thanks to everyone for the great feedback I have received so far (including a message from Eric Migicovsky — thanks Eric for bringing us this awesome smart watch!)
